I’m Sheri,
Welcome to my practice.
ABOUT SHERI
Hi, my name is Sheri Rumack, welcome to my practice - a place of hope, non-judgement and solutions.
My practice welcomes and is sensitive to all diverse cultural groups, ages, religions, sexual orientations and creeds.
I will provide you with a safe environment to explore your concerns, learn lessons and heal personal trauma. My intervention draws upon 35+ years of front-line clinical experience, drawing from various different schools of therapeutic techniques (see services page).
I am a seasoned therapist with expertise in the assessment and treatment of adults and youth suffering from depression, anxiety, panic disorders, spectrum disorders (ADD, Asperger’s, Autism) - as well as assisting families and couples in dealing with such family members.
I assist individuals suffering from very extreme trauma such as early childhood sexual abuse, victims/witnesses of crime, severe car accidents and the aftermath of suicide, using a highly personalized therapeutic style in combination with hypnosis in conjunction with EMDR.
Another significant part of my practice is providing counselling to couples; assisting them in learning how to respectfully communicate, teaching them effective problem resolution techniques (LGBTQ sensitive).
I am a cancer survivor with extensive hands-on knowledge in easing the physical and emotional effects encountered with this and other chronic and life-threatening illnesses. I specialize in assisting and supporting patients as well as their loved ones - helping them navigate on their healing journey, replacing fear with faith and finding courage and blessings along the way. I provide services to palliative care clients in the end stages of their life as well as their family members.
Join me in therapy and allow me to ease your burdens. With me, you will learn that nothing is insurmountable. In every crisis, there is a lesson, an opportunity and a chance for personal growth and happiness to follow.
